I’m very pleased to announce that I’m presenting a collection of recent works in an upcoming joint exhibition with Oksana Tanasiv, a wonderful Ukrainian artist, at her gallery in Norwalk, Connecticut this June.
The show is curated by Natasha Kuranko, and will take place June 11th-25th. I’m excited to be exhibiting my large-format metallic prints, finally hanging together in one location. A mix of my figure work and what I think of as my iconic images, the show is a meditation on themes and subjects that have both fascinated me and concerned me over the past few years.
My keynote image is “Judgment of Sophia”, an enhancement to an earlier work I’ve just completed, that symbolizes my heartbreak over the terrible situation in Ukraine. I hope people see in it my concept of the moral reckoning of a higher power—represented by the mythical goddess of wisdom.
A percentage of my sales will go toward relief for Ukraine. I hope many people will come to the show and support our efforts to help ease the suffering of the brave people of Ukraine!
